Personality:
Born over fourthousand years ago Anvindr has had plenty of lifetimes to enjoy what the world has to offer maybe even a little too much. He's the ultimate bachelor, the Dos Equis guy of his world, and is always trying to find something to pique his interest. He's lived for long enough that he's grown a little bit of an ego as well. It never manifests as arrogance, just confidence. Anvindr has salt: he's old and knows it as well as his limits -even if they are higher than everyone elses. Overall it gives him a world-wise attitude that generally comes off as just 'really chill old-guy talk' but will occasionally have an aloof tint to it. He lives well but is down to earth and has an appreciation for the simple things like good food and good company.
However he does have this humble fatherly part of him that he'll never be rid of even if he didn't want it. For all this time he's been living for himself so he will periodically have to sit there and question his priorities. He also won't take crap from other people unless it's something he can deem trivial. Patience is something he is overly familiar with and it's served well in keeping peace between him and anyone who tries to spoil his mood.
Generally he will only ever do what suits him and only allow anyone else within his house to do what suits him; this is to say that he'll pretty much allow anything unless it bothers him at the time. He's willing to deliver another person respect until they prove otherwise. Then you'd best expect to be given what you gave. If he likes someone they'll get considerably more leway.

While he considers himself Human and Lycan both he believes he's a step up from that: Lycan's are monsters with only the ability to destroy and consume and Human's are a little less resiliant. This isnt' to say he looks down upon the Human race as his lessers. He just happens to be a minor improvement -but he does consider any Lycan that can't control their shifting to be a feral creature.

He's got a great deal of hobbies and has had many overs the years but his more current ones [the last 2 or 3 lifetimes] include: tea, cigars, flowers, kayaking, sewing, and fish-keeping. He enjoys just about anything to do with snow or swimming. Sledding in particular is a pastime he'll never tire of. Martial arts, swordsmanship, hunting, sparring, exploring, linguistics, philosophy, and history are a few of his other interests.

Abilities:
Like all Lycans, Anvindr has accelerated healing acute senses of sight, hearing, smell, perception, reflex, and balance, all of these honed over a few millenia. His movements are fairly precise and is usually wasteless in the way he moves about. This can better be described as purposeful or graceful but not superfluous.
After a great deal of years he learned how to reharness magic, an ability he lost after being bitten. Just as with martial discipline he enforced discipline on his use of magic and created from it both art and weapon. His only interest is in elemental magic and stricly avoids necromancy, telepathy, and the like. Even with the convenience elemental magic can provide he does things the long way: lighting fires manually or chipping out stone sculptures with a hammer and chistle. He will resort to it if there is some sense of urgency though.
He can feel the presence of raw magic/energy and many times it's weilders as well but only about as well as he could smell them with favorable winds.
One of his projects besides harnessing magic was to build up a tolerance to silver by whatever means it took. By this time it's only mildly irritating but his healing can keep up with it for the most part. Silver will wound him just as well as anyone else but will heal within a matter of hours while wounds from anything else would take minutes or seconds. Silver will leave scars that will fade with time. And while he is blessed with good health because of his affliction he is still capable of getting sick, though rarely. When he does it's bad enough that his body is too busy trying to heal the ailment and can't handle bodily wounds. Healthy living and plenty of human flesh will usually keep this in check. Drugs will work on him if they're potent enough.

Fears:
The thing Anvindr fears above all is losing his edge. He has lived for a very long time so far and has lived it well. He wouldn't have an issue with dying or what happens afterwards but he doesn't want to waste away. He fears the years finally catching up to him.

Miscellaneous Quirks:
Far back when Anvindr was still in the process of reawakening after a few hundred years as a mindless creature he started a tradition for processing his kills. After killing and butchering the carcass he sets aside strips of various parts of the animal/human on a length of red fabric, surrounds it with small tokens or statuettes of things from the empire that he left behind to symbolize old ideals, and burns it all. The tokens are collected and reused afterwards. It was one of the ways he decided he would use to set himself apart from being Human and Lycan despite pride in being both.

Entirely due to the years he's been around his vocabulary is extensive and grammatically correct sentences of up but not limited to sixty words is not out of the question.

Likes:
Tea, honey, food, human flesh, hiking, exploring, sparring, fish-keeping, sewing, kayaking, snow, sledding, flowers, cigars, good company, interesting conversations, hearing well thought out opinions and self reflections, history, myths and legends, folklore, linguistics, philosophy, psychology, pelts, wood furniture, stone, beadwork, being well groomed, getting dirty when it suits him, small inconsequential artifacts, books, sculptures, learning, clothes, weapons, being creepily suave, licking people who deserve it, wind chimes, animals, candied and jerkied meats, candles, incense, great heights, has a love-hate relationship with flying, loafing, utilitarian ideals, and hard cider.

Dislikes:
Being called a dog, being pitied, being talked down to, parsnips, carrots, potatos, chewing tobacco, ignorance, uncivilized savages or just 'civilized' people with no manners, being made to feel old or senile, being called old, wasteful people, rotting meat, blatant arrogance, people actively trying to goad him into attacking, disrespect for wildlife, eating until he's sick, flying, inappropriate over-extravagance, and indecisiveness when it's imperitive to be decisive.

Nerfing:
Because of the manner Anvindr arrived in Hetherev he has complete amnesia and doesn't remember anything from before he got there. The brain damage he suffered also directly affected his control over his Lycanthropy; he can no longer control when or how he shifts and needs to feed frequently or risk shifting more often than just in coordination wth the lunar patterns of wherever he is. He is extremely vulnerable to silver as he has almost no accellerated healing factor anymore but can take a good deal more punishment than a normal man before collapsing. He also lost all ability and knowledge of magic and is very nearly a blank slate except that he can tell if something feels right or doesn't when it pertains to things he should and shouldn't be able to do or knew and didn't know. This contrast in familiarity is what he relies on to guide him now. He still is stupid-strong though and could benchpress semi-trucks.
